Los Angeles City Fire Department Explorers participate in the 19th Annual Dave Russon Explorer Exercise, which was held on April 18, 1998, in Val Verde, CA. Numerous Explorer posts from around the Los Angeles County region participated in the day-long event. Scenerios included structure firefighting using pallets, auto extrication, urban search and rescue; rapelling and helicopter operations.
