2003 Burn Kept California Firestorm From Being Much Worse

Last week's firestorms would likely have been much worse if the Cedar and Paradise fires hadn't thinned fuel three years ago, fire officials said.

Guests include: Chief Dan Eggleston, Deputy Chief Mike Jaffa, Fire Marshal Kevin Kowalski and Cliff Takawna, the director of public safety at Learning for Life. Each of the guests provided research and helped author the report, which was sponsored by the VCOS.
